SAP Functional Analyst at New York

Job Description

FI solution architect with strong foreign currency experience.The candidate should have strong experience of complex foreign currency business scenarios for the professional service industry, including global client contracts management, currency hedging, WIP revaluation, financial and client reporting.

Review and document the current currency behavior for all business scenarios set-up within clients template.

Make the necessary recommendations for how the foreign currency transactions are best recorded, revaluated and reported based on business requirements and best practice.

Identify the best practices in relation to this area.

Define the business requirements by:

• Creating use cases, requirements and process flows
• Participating in the creation of Business Solution Document (BSD) covering current state, future state,mapping to clients existing processes and creating SDD (Solution Design Document)
• Helping determine highest priority requirements for the group and managing expectations related to any changes to those priorities/requirements
• Participating in the review and prioritisation of business enhancement requests for potential inclusion in subsequent product releases.
• Taking a leading role in resolution of escalated foreign currency related support tickets

Validate that the solution meets the global and local legal/business requirements

Document integrated business scenarios and creating test scripts

Essential:

• Strong accounting background and knowledge
• Strong business process and technical knowledge and expertise in foreign currency accounting
• Must have completed at least 2-3 major global foreign currency projects
• Hands-on SAP experience and knowledge of FI/CO/SD modules
• A self starter who holds themselves to high standards and is able to work with minimal direct supervision
• Strong communicator; in writing as well as in presenting to senior leadership
• Ability to analyze complex business scenarios and present a concise recommendation for resolution
• Ability to translate the business requirement to technical requirements vice versa and effectively communicate to a broad audience

Desirable:

• Ability to influence decisions and be a strong collaborator
• Is a CPA certified or has related accounting experience
• Participated in at least three full life cycle of Global SAP implementation
