MEDICAL DIRECTOR (Licensed Psychiatrist)- Westampton, NJNew Jersey License Required

JOB SUMMARY: We are currently seekinga full-timeMEDICAL DIRECTOR in Burlington County, NJ. The Medical Director is a Psychiatrist whose functions are diverse and ranges from direct services to administration. The Medical Director collaborates with other staff in regard to planning for individual clients or formulating general policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintains appropriate standards and procedures for psychiatric and medical care to clients

Sets procedures for the effective delivery of psychiatric services and collaborates with the Director in regard to recruitment of other psychiatrists

Provides direct services to clients; i.e., psychiatric evaluation, medication and psychotherapy. This may include occasional referral to other physicians in the event some physical problem is suspected. Provides a minimum of ten hours per week psychiatric service to PACT Burlington Program

Provides overall supervision of medical staff and where appropriate, a collaboration agreement with the psychiatric advanced practice nurse

Collaborates with all staff involved with delivery of psychiatric or medical services to clients

Meets regularly with case managers to be appraised of clients progress

Provides consultative and educational services to staff members in regard to clients or to current psychiatric knowledge pertinent to clients

Meets periodically with the Director to discuss any pertinent issues of the agency

Attends to pertinent correspondence involving client or agency matters

Participates on the Quality Improvement Committee

Learn and utilize agency electronic health record system.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in Medicine from an accredited college or university. Successful completion of a specialty residency in the field of Psychiatry. License and certification (see below). 5-7 years of professional experience in the delivery of community based psychiatric services to seriously and persistently mentally ill consumers

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED: Current medical license in the State of NJ. Board certification in American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology required.
