Sr. Front End Technologist at New York

Job Description

Classification: Programmer/Analyst

Compensation: $140,000.00 to $155,000.00 per year

The successful candidate will be joining a team that enjoys the challenge of creating great ideas using new and emerging technologies; were looking for someone who would relish this dynamic and whose passion for web technology is obvious. They should be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of front-end web technologiesThe candidate should also be able to show a decent understanding of design best practice, and should be able to hold their own when working closely with the design teams. You will be joining a growing creative technology team working on a huge variety of projects, ranging from large scale responsive builds to smaller more focused desktop and mobile applications and campaigns. Client facing competence They need to be aware of the client communication requirements of the project and respond appropriatelyThey need to have a basic level of commercial savvyThey need to be able to present to clients Design/IA/copy competence Candidate need to be able to cover basic IA and design themselves, having a decent level of understanding about common user experience pitfallsWill be able to adapt their approach based on client requirements selecting which are necessary from scamps, wireframes, mac visuals, prototypes etc.Can hold their own with specialist designers and may hold this position at the momentWill be comfortable designing for a range of emails, banners, websites, blogging platformsConfident writing some non-industry specific copy having received an appropriate brief

Job Requirements

Interface development/technical competence Web developer skills - HTML5 / CSS3 / HTML4 / XHTML / DHTML / CSS2 / JavaScript / Javascript FrameworksFamiliar with responsive web design and development techniquesFamiliar with interface development techniques for mobile websites and mobile web appsExperience with social media platform integration Facebook Open Graph and applications, YouTube API, Twitter APIExperience of the complete software development lifecycleKnowledge of web standards and web development best practicesWill have access to back-end software developers as necessary Can perform rapid customizations of blogging platforms (such as Tumblr) using of the shelf themes and plugins.Enthusiastic about multi-channel communication and experimental technologiesAble to provide accurate estimates of own time to complete taskssend resume to:[Click Here to Email Your Resum]
