Accounting Associate at New York

Job Description

Principal Responsibilities Include:

  Work with the Controller to produce and refine quarterly, annual SEC Reporting and related documents and support

  Assist in reconciliation of daily cash and reviewing daily trading reconciliations

  Month-End and Quarterly closing of the Company’s books and records

  Prepare journal entries and support schedules as required

  Help maintain internal controls over accounting

  Assist in all audit related reviews and respond to inquiries as needed

  Assist the treasury staff as needed

  Ad hoc projects as requested

 

 

Job Requirements

 Requirements Include:

  3-4 years of relevant work experience;

  Big 4 or second tier experience, preferably in a REIT or other Real Estate entity is a plus;

  Experience with financial securities and loans required;

  Strong accounting skills and attention to detail required.

  Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills required;

  Ability to work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment required;

  Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet assigned deadlines required;

  Must be organized, detail oriented, motivated and learn quickly.

  Ability to work at all levels from administrative through manager as required

  Bachelor’s Degree required;  Accounting or Finance Degree preferred; CPA is a plus
