Senior Quality Engineer at Clarence

Job Description

Superior Group is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for a local, medical manufacturing company in Clarence NY. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to manufacturing operations to immediately remedy production issues related to quality, reduce/eliminate scrap and rework for designated work centers. This position interacts across all levels of the organization from Associates on the production floor to plant and business unit management with quick resolution to quality issues in manufacturing with an ability to determine true root cause. Improve measurement techniques and detection methods (e.g. MSA studies, error proofing). Conduct capability studies and complete variation reduction activities to improve processes Identify necessary process/product controls through PFMEA and Control Plan to prevent downstream issues. Develop quality plans, for new and existing products, with our customers to ensure first time quality Work with Customers to resolve quality issues related to Greatbatch product. Develop processes/systems that prevent quality problems Development of processes and procedures for process improvement 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Direct hire. Salary $75-85K DOE. Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelors degree in related fieldMinimum: 7 years of experience as a Senior Quality EngineerPreferred SkillsMedical device experience preferredApplication of ISO 9001, 13485 or equivalent.Implementation and maintenance of quality systems.Project coordination. Business Process Black Belt and lean training strongly preferred. Computer skills as required by stated accountabilities.Experience supporting electronic quality management systems.Advanced word-processing and spreadsheet skills.Demonstrated ability to lead team activities, strong ability to coach and advanced problem solving and root cause investigation skills. Strong communication, presentation, follow-through and organizational skills.Ability to work with and influence coworkers and all levels of the organization. Willing to travel at least 5-10% of the time.
