Job Description
The objective of the Marketing and Brand Management team within Marketing & Communications is to define, develop, and execute marketing plans for EmblemHealth - this includes brand advertising, direct marketing, product advertising and social media initiatives. The Marketing Specialist will play an important role with respect to management of campaigns and messaging, which will directly support the building of the EmblemHealth brand or increase customer consideration for sales especially those efforts tied to awareness and education around the Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) and marketing efforts in support of and coordination with the Neighborhood Growth Strategy (NGS).
Essential Duties:
Work with external agencies to create high-volume, closely timed advertising and marketing campaigns from concept through response mechanisms for all efforts around promoting EmblemHealths participation in the post-HIX marketplace which includes both on- and off-public exchange marketing activities and initiatives.
Support the Manager of Enterprise Marketing in the administration and management of all activities related to the NGS governance, planning, execution and reporting.
Serve as primary liaison with brand advertising agency of record to deliver client feedback and oversee overall project dashboard status with respect to HIX-related campaigns and marketing efforts.
Work with other members of the Enterprise marketing team in support of overarching brand- and awareness-building initiatives.
Create fully detailed, timed project plans, status reporting, and coordinate plan execution.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the job. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong project management skills with relentless attention to detail on dozens of complex, simultaneous, high-visibility, deadline-oriented projects.
Advertising/marketing writing and editing skills and experience needed. Social media knowledge and expertise preferred.
Research skills to elicit and integrate needed information from sources and documents.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound business and strategic judgment.
Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external clients building strong relationships.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, required.
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Mandarin preferred.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications or Business.
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience managing complex marketing projects (preferably in healthcare, advertising, or public relations environment).
Must be able to interact and work well with all levels of staff.
