Enterprise Risk Project Manager at New York

Job Description


POSITION IS LOCATED IN JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY

Department/Area Function:
Project Management and Reporting oversees ERMs project management and budget planning, establishes consistency in ERM reporting, and manages the departments centralized control functions such as policies and procedures as well as regulatory and internal communications. Responsibilities also include managing ERMs relationship with ADM for all technology-related projects.

Position Summary:
Partner with ERM subject matter experts and Technology to support ERM multiyear Risk re-engineering initiative, lead projects through the various budgeting and internal governance processes. Oversee multiple ERM internal projects on an ongoing and regular basis.

Principal Responsibilities:

Planning
o Work closely with department managers and staff, technologists, and stakeholders throughout DTCC to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs related to projects.
o Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, timeframes, funding limitations, priorities, staffing requirements, and allocation of resources and tradeoffs.
o Support project estimation and planning by ADM, including scheduling and budgeting.
o Establish project meetings, including pre-PMT planning meeting, Project Management Team meeting, Cross Functional Team meeting, User Acceptance Test meeting, and others as needed.

Managing
o Negotiate, persuade, and gain consensus from cross functional team members.
o Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and among competing ERM projects.
o Proactively negotiate, document, authorize, and manage change in project scope, timeline, quality and budget.
Executing
o Produce and/or assist team members in the development of all Stage-Gate and ERM Risk re-engineering program document and status report. .
o Track approvals of relevant documents and follow-up on late and/or missing approvals.
o Review, challenge and/or approve relevant ADM and TSG CMMI documents.
o Identify, address, and track to resolution, project issues and risks.
o Coordinate project staff tasks to develop, approve, execute, and document UAT test scripts and associated test data. Monitor defect resolution.
o Assure / monitor project staff access to project repositories, test regions, and tools (Clear Quest, HP PPM). Coordinate end user AZN entitlements as needed.
o Create and/or update end user documentation as needed.
Reporting
o Manage project communications, providing formal and informal status to persons within and outside the project team / ERM.
o Liaise with Internal Audit, Relationship Management, Legal, and others as needed.
o Track and report project progress, resources, etc. as required.
o Monitor project reporting by ADM, TSG, and the Strategy Office.o
Experience:
5 to 7 years work experience in Risk Management and Project Management
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Good understanding of different financial products, Market and Credit risk experience
Good understanding of various technology (database, system architecture, Processes etc)
Knowledge of the financial industry and its relationship to DTCC
Good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Hands-on knowledge of Lotus Notes, Microsoft Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Visio and Word
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Demonstrated leadership ability in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management, clients, other departments, and vendors

Education, Training &/or Certification:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics.
