Job Description

Moody"s Investors Service is among the world"s most respected, widely utilized sources for credit ratings, research and risk analysis. In addition to our core ratings business, Moody"s publishes market-leading credit opinions, deal research and commentary that reach more than 3,000 institutions and 22,000 subscribers around the globe. As an Associate Analyst 3, your responsibilities will include:
  • Independently
    prepares for Rating Committees and Portfolio Reviews by gathering data, preparing charts and financial models and
    applying Moodys methodologies
  • Prepares rating
    recommendations and formulates appropriate solutions to credit issues
  • Prepares presentations
    for issuer meetings.
  • Works with a
    team of analysts on various analytical and statistical projects. In addition, is able to develop complex
    financial models, as applicable to each line of business
  • Responsible for
    discussions with investors / intermediaries for credits, where assigned as the
    shadow analyst
  • Builds and
    maintains relationships with key contacts from various departments in the firm
    (e.g., press desk, production, financial writers and editors, etc.)
  • Serves as a
    go to person for managers regarding involvement in special projects
    while concurrently maintaining high performance in core responsibilities

Job Requirements

  • BA required in
    Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Actuarial Science,
    Public Policy, Public Affairs, Statistics, or Finance
  • Progress towards completion of CFA Level I or other
    certificate in accounting finance
  • Must have 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working with complex financial instruments and/or
    accounting principles e.g., accounting for derivatives financial instruments
  • Ability to lead complex financial discussions in front of a
    sophisticated audience
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Solid verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
    a must
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize
    tasks accordingly
