Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:This position is responsible for synthesizing and reporting findings from freight data, carrier contracted rates and transportation transit times, which will play a critical role in creating an optimized global logistics strategy. The Logistics Data/Knowledge Analyst will create and maintain dashboards and metrics to measure freight providers and Eaton Crouse-Hinds facilities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Optimizing Logistics in order to improve customer service, reduce freight costs, and increase productivity.
Build and maintaining all Logistics databases
Generate SAP reports for Logistics to improve customer service and logistics through improvements to current SAP applications
Conduct data mining and trend analysis of the freight data
Run data quality, cleansing, standardization, and verification processes
Work directly with representatives from vendors to code and categorize data and to troubleshoot data discrepancies
Build and execute SQL queries to investigate and resolve data quality issues
Develop applications to improve freight optimization
Manage feedback from Customers
Collect and document feedback from customers on freight issues
Synthesize notes and compile integrated findings
Identify key areas for further research and/or opportunities for Continuous Improvement Projects.
Assist in identifying and codifying best practices throughout the firm, identifying key areas for further research or direct action to improve logistics.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
2 years of experience in a business environment
1 year of experience in a customer interfacing environment
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographic area or reasonable commuting distance will be considered for this position
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors in Supply Chain, Accounting or Business
Strong Access skills
Experience with SAP
