The talent and passion of our people is critical to our success, together with the common set of values rooted in integrity and excellence.The Senior Investment Consultant role within our Private Client Group is a high level sales position for financial professionals with extensive industry success. The primary function of these top-caliber individuals is to expand and deepen the network of advisors referring clients to Rochdale and to communicate and meet high net worth investors who have expressed an interest in our investment services. Performance in the role is based on the acquisition of new assets under management.The firm will only consider top sales producers for this senior level opportunity. We are not just looking for anybody. We are seeking individuals whose background demonstrates financial selling success that lives to build a referral network of broker/dealer advisors, attorneys and CPAs, to get in front of the client and to close the sale. We are not interested in those who would be satisfied to coast making a couple hundred thousand dollars per year. Broad knowledge of financial planning, investment and/or HNW economic issues continual learner. Ability to apply principal techniques of portfolio management, along with excellent communication skills to effectively interface with clients, advisors and investment colleagues.Duties and Responsibilities:City National Rochdale develops partnering relationships with accounting firms, estate planning firms and various broker/dealer advisors with the objective of providing the highest level of investment management services to their clients. Responsibilities require entrepreneurial energy and initiative and will include:Developing and implementing programs designed to increase the quality and quantity of accounting, law firms and advisors referring clients to Rochdale.Acting in a leadership role and as technical resource for advisorsEnsuring that advisors are kept abreast of firm and industry developmentsEnsuring that the transition from the sales process to portfolio management is smooth and accurateFacilitating the new accounts and account transfer processHandling advisor and client communicationPreparing client presentationsCommunicating regularly with advisors to ensure that products and services are meeting their needs, expectations and specificationsFacilitate and conduct individual meetings and presentations in your territoryBring in new assets to the firm using a highly professional consultative sales approachOperate and represent Rochdale with the highest level of integrity and work ethic*Represents basic qualifications for the position.
