Our leadership team is seeking a forward thinker who is looking for an opportunity to lead in a nationally ranked, Magnet designated, academic medical center in the heart of NYC. The successful candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing (Masters in Nursing strongly preferred), a current New York State RN license, current BLS certification with the American Heart Association and at least 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience. The ability to work under pressure in a very dynamic environment and proven communication and interpersonal skills are required. The successful candidate will provide 24-hour responsibility for personnel and unit management that will effectively guide the quality and coordination of patient care, performance of personnel, and the organization of the Emergency Department. Works collaboratively with the nursing, medical and administrative staff to ensure quality practice, coordination of patient care and unit operations.
