Line Supervisor/Production Manager at New Hartford

Job Description

LINE SUPERVISOR

Coordinates the activities of production employees to ensure production schedule is followed and completed. Assist in ensuring high quality products are produced that meet or exceed all regulatory and legal requirements. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

Major Duties & Responsibilities: *Ensures a safe and clean work environment and safe work practices. *Act as alternate for other line operators in case of absence. *Readies machinery to run the appropriate assigned production lines according to the demands of the production work orders and daily production schedule. *Changes the lines over for each subsequent scheduled product run and makes basic tuning modifications to machines to adjust for speed and variance of products as appropriate to maintain acceptable quality levels. *Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to production manager and/or quality assurance manager. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications: *Good oral and written communication skills *A minimum of 1 year experience in the manufacturing industry *High school diploma or GED *Ability to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use basic hand held measuring tools.
