Cloud Engineer at New York

Job Description

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for hands-on implementation of infrastructure components and deployment tools for Medidatas products. A Cloud Engineer is expected to participate in the planning and development of software products by participating in daily scrum meetings, and being part of the Agile methodology definition of Done.

Responsibility Overview:

Develop new components according to specifications from the Product Management team
Provide diagnostic support and bug-fixing for existing product releases
Liaise with Software Quality Assurance personnel who are developing test cases for new system functionality

Requirements:

2+ years experience working with software development
2-3 years experience with Cloud Technologies, specifically Infrastructure as a Service provided by Amazon Web Services
2-3 years experience with the LAMP stack, OO Programming and MVC framework
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to provide strategic vision for selection, implementation and support of technology solutions
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to understand development requirements and translate to technical solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
