The Healthcare Consulting and Compliance Manager is responsible for providing healthcare project management, project implementation, controls assessment, and regulatory compliance subject matter expertise and consulting practice leadership to McGladreys East region Healthcare consulting practice. The goal is to drive business growth with a strong presence in project assistance and general compliance areas in the healthcare business. He/she will help to define service offerings, meet delivery objectives and develop best practices.

- As a Manager of McGladreys Healthcare consulting practice, you will join professionals with a broad knowledge of the health care industry including: financial analysis and revenue performance management, regulatory reporting and compliance, and healthcare IT. You will be part of a collaborative consulting team to deliver exceptional client service to meet our clients objectives.
- This candidate will develop Healthcare Project assistance and compliance consulting service offerings, demonstrate thought leadership, manage complex projects, build client relationships, recruit and mentor consulting staff and collaborate with others to develop new business.

Major Responsibilities

- Manage consulting project teams in project assistance projects. Project assistance may include providing project managers, providing a project management methodology, developing a project management or program management office, and advising on the creation of a PMO group and supporting technologies.
- Manage compliance efforts in healthcare organizations. Industry specific compliance efforts may include the assessment and implementation of controls related to HIPAA/HITECH, HITRUST CSF, PCI-DSS, ISO 27002, CoBiT, ITIL, and SOX/MAR.
- Communicate with senior client management and build key client relationships. Sustain deep client relationships to exceed client satisfaction
- Support new business development activities as defined in the goal setting process
- Oversee the work and mange the engagements and team members ensuring quality and meeting the requirements of the engagement letter / contract.
- Develop Healthcare project assistance consulting service offerings and demonstrate thought leadership
- Develop Healthcare compliance service offerings and supporting delivery tools as needed
- Attract, develop and retain healthcare IT consulting talent as directed by leadership
- Travel as needed

Job Requirements

- 3 + years combined experience in the healthcare industry
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Project Management consulting or delivery. This experience should include healthcare payor and provider experience. Other not-for profit, government, and healthcare industry experience is also desirable
- Practical knowledge of Project Management leading practices.
- Practical experience implementing Electronic Medical Records systems
- Combined 7+ years experience assisting clients in complying with controls based industry standards. Projects may include assessments, attestation, or program advisement in the privacy, security, and IT governance space.
- Relevant certifications include: PMP, CISA, ITIL, CISSP, CIA
- Successful track record leading projects in defining requirements, developing system design and architecture, system configuration, testing and deployment
- Proven success in IT project management
- Top performer and role model in delivering exceptional client service in the healthcare industry
- Successful Manager will have experience and success in a sophisticated national consulting firm environment
- Will have obtained recognition in professional organizations
