Position Summary

Make parts using the progressive die machines

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities

 

Set Up and run progressive Die

•  Load coils

•  Adjust edge conditioner

•  Run straighter

•  Able to change parameters in computer Wintress Control system

•  Dial in part

•  Load and fasten die into press

•  Mandatory inspection of first piece run

•  Ability to read prints

•  Ability to read job traveler and obtain correct product type and quantity to run

•  Required to complete daily paperwork

•  Ensure loading of parts is correct

•  Must conduct daily safety checks, test equipment prior to running and sign off of paperwork

•  Maintain daily set up sheets, die books, maintenance tool request forms, track total part quantities to determine maintenance intervals

•  Ability to change die over to different components

•  Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance

•  Inform Supervisor of any issues with operation or quality

•  Maintain a clean workstation

•  Must wear proper PPE at all times and conform to all safety rules and regulations

•  Must mix roll form coolant properly

•  Perform any other task asked by Management

 

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

•  Must have general Math skills; must pass qualifying math test

•  Prior experience working with pressing metals

•  Able to read blue prints

•  Legible handwriting

•  Must be able to read and write English

•  Proficient with using standard measuring equipment; must pass qualifying test

•  Must be able to lift minimal of 50 lbs periodically

Educational & Certification

•  HSD or GED

Software Skills

 

•  Wintress Control system preferred
