Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with technical staff to satisfy production needs for show, as determined by Producer and Director
  • Perform other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis as determined by the Operations Department
  • Build and organize switcher effects, snapshots, transitions and specialty wipes
  • Help provide solutions for studio, and control room production needs
  • Test and prepare television technical operations systems and equipment for use
  • Work closely with Operations Management and Engineering to ensure all equipment is meeting clients expectations

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in Communications or equivalent work experience required
  • Five (5) years of experience in TV studio production as a Technical Director
  • General understanding of all aspects and duties of a level 1 technician, including: Stage
  • Managing, Studio Camera, Teleprompter, Lighting, Video Tape Playback, Video Shading
  • Proficient in operation and building of effects on Grass Valley Kayenne with internal DPM
  • Proficient in operation and building of effects on a Ross Video Vision production switcher with internal effects.
  • Proficient in live studio and remote program operations
  • Proficient in INEWS or similar newsroom management system
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends & holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment. Eligibility Requirements:
