Classification: Accounts Payable Clerk

Compensation: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour

Accountemps has a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable specialist looking to join a reputable nonprofit organization. One of our stable clients is looking to strategically expand their Accounting Department with the vital addition of an Accounts Payable specialist. Typical duties of an Accounts Payable specialist will include matching, batching, coding and entering invoices, entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving accounts payable issues with customers or vendors, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger as well as maintaining cash applications, account reconciliations, and chargebacks.

Job Requirements

Candidates for the Accounts Payable specialist position should be detail oriented, have strong communication, customer service and organizational skills and have a minimum of 2-3 years of Accounts Payable experience preferably in a high volume setting. Experience with Microsoft Excel is required and candidates with experience with specialized software such as Peoplesoft, QuickBooks, Peachtree or Great Plains will be given special consideration.
