Classification: Accounts Payable Clerk

Compensation: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year

Emerging Professional Services Firm, located in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their growing Finance team. Working directly with the Controller, and supporting the entire Finance Team, you will be responsible for the entire accounts payable process as well as various administrative responsibilities. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all invoices, maintaining vendor paid invoice files and responding to vendor inquiries regarding payment issues in order to effectively resolve billing discrepancies. Additionally, you will be generating 1099 forms at year end, tracking and processing all consultant expenses, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. Qualified candidates will be in the process of earning or will have already earned a four year degree in Accounting or Finance. The qualified candidate will also possess advanced knowledge of MS Excel and will have a minimum of two years experience in a similar role.
