Bilingual Japanese Leasing Associate at New York

Job Description

Overall Purpose of Job:

To ensure accuracy and efficiency of loan operations and maintain clean loan portfolio.

 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing supports for the marketing efforts and credit control enhancement, such as accurate calculation of optimum lease/loan cash flow, appropriate preparation of proposals, preparation of detailed credit analysis and credit applications in accordance with Policies and Procedures, and proactive control of periodical credit reviews with due diligence in a timely manner.
• Manage comprehensive lease/loan solicitation analysis and submit proposals which include (a) lessee/borrower financial analysis, (b) tax, accounting and legal structuring, (c) appraisal, (d) pricing.
• Responsible for execution of documentation and direct funding processes. Also be responsible for transaction follow-ups.
• Manage collaboration closely with other members of the group, especially with Account Officers and Analysts and US Corporate Banking, in the origination and arrangement of lease/loan transaction.
• Negotiate lease/loan economics and major terms and conditions with lessee/borrower and other participants, consulting with management and by obtaining professional advice, if necessary.
• Provide administrative support for  Registered Representative

 

Job Requirements

Experience/Abilities:

• Minimum 3 year experience in leasing and/or structured finance
• Strong analysis skill, background in computer, mathematics, economics and corporate finance
• Team player with interpersonal skills. Bilingual language skill in Japanese and English.

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Quantitative analysis such as finance or engineering background would be helpful
