The Healthcare Economics Consultant will be part of a national physician optimization team which will assist in the development and distribution of tools based on physician unit cost, utilization, quality, and risk score metrics to support physician incentive models, optimization, and affordability initiatives.

Primary job responsibilities:

Transforming claims data into financial statements
Modeling out provider and member results and setting performance targets
Develop scorecards to track and monitor physician performance
Presenting data to leaders in the markets
Position will be located in New York, NY

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Bachelors degree required.
2+ years of experience in data analysis required (healthcare experience an asset).
Solid understanding and knowledge of medical claims data (diagnosis codes, procedure codes, etc.)
Advanced level proficiency with MS Excel (Pivot Tables) and Access required.
Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
