Job Classification: Direct Hire Our client, a prestigious international financial institution in downtown Brooklyn, is looking to hire a Mainframe Network Engineer to join their team on a full time basis.This person will be part of a team responsible for all networking software on the Z platform including SNA and TCP/IP protocols. This team supports connectivity to internal entities including DB2 Shadow Direct and MQ as well as external parties such as SIAC, DTCC, banks, and exchanges. This person will be responsible for resolving network and system related issues, performance tuning, and network design.Candidates must have extensive experience with the IBM Communication Server suite including VTAM and TCP/IP internals, SNA protocols and formats, and Enterprise Extender. Candidates must have strong knowledge of the following network program products: CA/Solve, Connect:Direct, and LRS/VPS product suite. Candidates must have practical experience with the Z/OS platform.This position is located in downtown Brooklyn and is easily commutable by public transportation.
