We are looking for a Talent Management expert to be responsible for leading talent management projects and initiatives to help the company drive a robust global talent agenda, inclusive of: furthering leadership development, enhancing career development, fostering culture change, and raising the bar for overall organizational and manager effectiveness. There will be a particular focus on the development of leaders and emerging leaders across the company, and the ability to add some novel thinking to how we can change and adapt for the future. Likewise, the right person for this role must be able to think creatively about how we approach leadership development at MasterCard, and not just rely on best practice. Innovative thinking and the willingness to do things in a new and different way will be a mark of success. The right person for this role must also demonstrate the ability to develop strong, credible relationships with Senior Management, Business Unit Teams, HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence and other key stakeholders across the company, as well as be considered a force for positive change and collaboration on their own team.
Accountabilities
- Contribute in a meaningful way to our leadership development strategy/design and maintain the curriculum/materials/project plan, and facilitate or present content with ease
- Strategize, innovate, design and deliver new and different development experiences for our hi potential leaders to drive leadership development and foster increased career mobility across the company (e.g., job rotations, job shadowing), and do so in close partnership with the business
- Act as a coach or talent shepherd to our hi potential leaders
- Support competency development and career mapping efforts across the company while leveraging such tools in a creative ways to proactively drive career development and create energy around development and mobility
Required knowledge/skills
- Demonstrated strength and 5-8 years of experience in the talent management space, working with Senior Level Executives
- Evidence of tremendous propensity for collaboration is a must
- Flexibility and openness in considering other ideas and in personal interaction style
- The ability to brainstorm and think creatively about how to do things that are new and different and own and execute on new ideas - appropriate thoughtful risk taking
- Confidence in relationship building, presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to ideate and then bring a project to full end to end execution with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Strong orientation towards making a positive impact
- Must exude optimism and energy for the work and especially for team members
- Learning agility
